There is something mesmerizing                                                                                                        About watching the 2 needles dance together                                                                                  Like a ribbon dance strings making a webbed mess                                                                      That turn into a scarf, hat or blanket                                                                                                 But it is so hard to do and my hands misstep                                                                                   And the cast-on, casts-off every single time                                                                                      I put the needles down, frustrated                                                                                                      And I pick up my crochet project to finish the scarf                                                                       But the needles beckon for me and we start the dance                                                       Again
